WICCARE Africa is a for-profit Social Enterprise on a mission to improve energy access and economic opportunity for communities across the continent.
WICCARE Hubs bring together innovative circular economy technologies, processing multiple waste streams into affordable clean energy products.
Hubs become catalysts for local entrepreneurial activity, fostering economic growth and creating opportunities. Around our hubs, entrepreneurial ventures emerge. Through these activities and with the help of partner NGOs, we empower individuals, particularly women, with the tools and resources needed to build successful businesses and transform their lives. Host communities receive an 'energy dividend' due to the lower cost of our products compared to fossil fuels and each Hub avoids or sequesters over 25,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent every year.

Our Story
Rooted in Innovation and Purpose
WICCARE Africa was founded in response to challenges that affect the health, livelihoods, and future of our communities: smoky kitchens that damage health, landfills that overflow with waste, declining crop yields that threaten food security, and the worsening impacts of climate change. We saw these problems not as separate issues, but as interconnected challenges that demand an integrated solution.
Our answer is the WICCARE Hub — a space where waste is given a second life, transformed into clean energy and valuable products such as biochar compost blends that restore soil health and improve harvests. By addressing energy, waste, and agriculture together, we aim to help communities breathe cleaner air, grow more food, and reduce their environmental footprint.
